Our Mission
Tax systems in Switzerland can be complex due to the federalist structure. This tool aims to make tax transparency accessible to everyone living in or moving to Switzerland.
Independent Project
This is a independent, non-profit project. It is not affiliated with the Cantonal Tax Office or any government body. While we strive for accuracy, please consult official sources for binding tax rulings.
Privacy First
We respect your privacy. All tax calculations are performed locally in your browser. The calculator does not transmit your financial inputs or calculated results.

Privacy Policy
Calculator data: TaxLoad does not collect or store the financial values you enter or the results calculated from them. All calculations are performed entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript.
Cookies and local storage: The calculator does not set cookies to store your inputs or scenarios. It stores only your map/table layout preference locally in your browser.
Hosting: The static website is stored in Amazon S3 and delivered through Amazon CloudFront. AWS processes standard technical request metadata, such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and timestamp, to deliver and protect the service. Calculator inputs and calculated amounts are not included in those requests.
Analytics and third-party services: We do not use a client-side analytics service. The site loads Google Fonts, D3.js from d3js.org and TopoJSON from jsDelivr. AWS and these providers may receive standard technical request metadata. Calculator inputs and calculated tax scenarios remain in your browser and are not deliberately sent to them by the application.
